The American Example

United States is one of the countries where online gaming companies are having more trouble. Since the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act was approved in 2006, causing great loses to many game’s companies, was never clear which type of gambling activities were or weren’t allowed on the Internet.
However, a few months ago, all those doubts were clarified and companies were given until the first of December to readapt to the new situation.
During those days, only a few months apart from the implementation of the new law, different organizations are asking to postpone this law, which is very unwelcomed by gambling players and the game industry in general. So we have to wait and see if it is going to be any changes before the first of December.
On the other hand, in this side of the Atlantic Ocean we don’t have anything to worry about as we can keep enjoying playing our favourite games in the best online casinos! Aren’t we lucky??

The Russian example

Russia has been one of the latest countries that created strict laws against gambling. Since the first of July of this year, the casino industry in that country has been encountering great difficulties, as from one day to another this business was declared illegal, and they all had to close their doors, leaving a lot of unemployed people behind.
From that day, gambling is only allowed in four Russian areas: Primorsky, Altai, Kravnodar and Rostov. However, there are still no casinos in these areas, as they are a bit isolated and they don’t have a very developed infrastructure. Therefore is not surprising that illegal casinos keep on appearing in the country as well as internet cafes from where is possible to access to online gambling sites.
Luckily, those laws do not affect us, so we can keep enjoying playing our favorite games in both online casinos and land based ones. So enjoy…
